Locked was brought in to handle all aspects of lighting and camera with our Co-Founder Jamie acting as the director of photography. An electronic rotating platform was used in order to get those smooth moving product shots, perfect for showing those nice details on the trainers and keeping pace up in the edit. We used hefty lighting package to facilitate the capture of 100 frames per second to allow perfect time ramping of the shots in the edit.
The filming required the crew to film in a studio using a mixture of green screen and white infinity curve backgrounds to allow the moving product shots of the shoes to be cut and the bespoke Under Armour campaign branding added into the background using the edgey 3D foam like textures and dynamic bold text graphics.
The schedule was tight for this project with only a single shoot day in the schedule. But by having the creative signed off and the shots storyboarded by We are Syn prior to filming, this meant that we could pre-plan the different lighting setups for each shot ahead of the shoot which meant we could maximise our time on set.
